GMG has installed a powerful pool of machines for the production of metal parts. All required tools are made and maintained by traditional partner firms or in-house.
Parts of stainless steel, brass or aluminium are drawn, punched or bent in automatic progressive forming machines, automatic punches, automatic punching and bending machines and eccentric presses.
Most of the metal parts made by GMG are processed further in the lamp base making facility. Lamp bases are mainly made of plastics as insulation material by pressing, injection moulding and assembly.
Most processes in the production of GMG lamp bases are automatic and highly engineered and as such can provide customers with the required flexibility in the choice of input materials and shaping.
The processes in manufacture support short product runs as well as volume production with short delivery periods.
Following is an overview of the available technologies:
GMG uses different technologies for making metal parts from various types of strip from 0.2 mm to 1.0 mm thickness.
GMG has a high-capacity metal degreasing plant.
GMG processes duroplastic moulding compounds on different machines for making composites of metal parts and duroplastic.
Plastics injection moulding has made great progress in the production of sockets. GMG has modern systems for the automatic or semi-automatic application of these technologies.
To combine plastic parts with metal parts or metal with metal parts highly advanced automatic assembly machines with integrated testinbg function are used.
